Vice President, Finance, Value-Based Care Enablement

Braden Claassen serves as the Vice President of Finance at Lumeris, where he contributes to the success of our Value-Based Care Enablement business and focuses on advancing our capabilities in risk-based models. Braden has a proven history of executing value-based contracting strategies, negotiating and implementing ACO agreements, and developing innovative customer service models.

Prior to joining Lumeris, Braden served as VP of Business Development for UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage business in the Upper Midwest, leading product and growth strategies covering 180K+ members across 5 markets, growing business in Minnesota from 0 lives to 75K+ in 5 years, and implementing the first of its kind Dual Special Needs Plan in South Dakota. While leading quality operations of the health plan, the plan achieved 4+ Stars performance, ensured 80%+ of members were included in value-based agreements, and executed risk adjustment improvement strategies.

During his professional career, Braden also served as the member experience lead for UHC’s Central Region, leading CAHPS, HOS, & NPS strategies for 1.6 million Medicare Advantage members and achieving 4+ Star performance across all markets. Braden lives in Minneapolis with his wife and their cat and dog.
