Lumeris Appoints New Senior Vice President of Product and Solutions Management

St. Louis — AUGUST 31, 2016 –  Lumeris, a pioneer in population health management solutions headquartered in St. Louis, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Cox as senior vice president of product and solutions management.

Cox, a 20-year healthcare veteran with more than a decade of experience in business development and product management, will play a pivotal role in developing product strategy and assembling an expert team to deliver cost-effective products and solutions for providers, patients and payers. Cox will serve as a member of the company’s leadership team and will report to Art Glasgow, president and chief operating officer.

“We are thrilled that Matt has joined us,” said Glasgow. “He has a knack for innovative planning and executing strategy that drives results. His depth of expertise will only strengthen Lumeris’ ability to provide top-rated population health management services.”

Prior to joining Lumeris, Cox built strategy and business operations for Duke University Health System’s telehealth program. There, he developed a process and framework for the health system to evaluate, launch and measure telehealth initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes, clinical capacity and access in the community. Cox spent seven years as vice president of business development and product management at Virtual Radiologic, building the world’s largest teleradiology practice serving half of hospitals in the United States. His accomplished career also includes responsibilities for enterprise solutions at Misys Healthcare Systems and real-time claims solutions for Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

“My passion for healthcare began watching my father deliver care as an ear, nose and throat doctor and grew exponentially as I studied medical humanities at Davidson College and then entered the rapidly changing healthcare field,” said Cox. “Now, I’m on a mission to fix healthcare and I’m excited to take on that challenge with my talented colleagues at Lumeris.”

Cox resides in Chapel Hill, N.C., with his wife and three sons.
